Rating: 3.5/5

“Havoc” is an action-packed thriller that delivers on its promise of intense, visceral action sequences. Directed by Gareth Evans, the film features Tom Hardy as a jaded cop navigating a corrupt city’s criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son after a drug heist gone wrong. The narrative is punctuated with bravura action sequences, beautifully shot and choreographed, showcasing Evans’ signature balletic style. However, the story is weak, and the characters lack depth, making it hard to invest emotionally in the outcome. Despite these shortcomings, “Havoc” offers a decent timepass with fresh faces and an unconventional plot, making it a fun escape for audiences looking for a good laugh and engaging performances.

Gareth Evans’ Havoc is certainly full of hard-hitting action and a solid Tom Hardy performance, but its clichéd story fails to make it worth the wait. Comparatively, Havoc’s story is a disappointment because of how unoriginal it is. Read The Full Review Here.

In Gareth Evans’ Dark, Destructive Netflix Outing, Only Tom Hardy’s Reputation Remains Unscathed. At first, “Havoc” sounds like just another one of those generic, one-word titles Hollywood slaps on action movies to convey a terse, efficient shoot-’em-up. Read The Full Review Here.
