Salt City is the new web series of Sony Liv directed by Rishabh Anupam Sahai. After the tremendous success of the last season of Mirzapur Divyenndu is coming with a new family drama. On the 16th of June, it launched on the Sony Liv Ott platform. It would be very interesting to watch how the audience reacts to season 1 of Salt City.

Only the moments Saurabh and Ela share on-screen will steal your heart out of the entire show. Whether they’re smoking joints or talking about their feelings, their bond is the strongest of them all. Their character arcs are well-written, and Divyenndu and Monica are perfectly cast in their respective roles. Gunjan, played by Gauahar Khan, appears to be a twisted character who squanders his potential early in the story.

Salt City positions itself as a brilliant tale of how patriarchy and lack of communication affects a family and how a toxic patriarch can leave a lasting effect on the self esteem and expression of those around him but it’s difficult to connect with these mostly woefully one-dimensional characters.
