Sanjay Dutt appears in yet another world-weary role this year. The best we can say about his vehicle is that it is not the roadkill that was Sadak 2, but that is hardly a compliment. For an actor that retains his charisma and screen presence, Sanjay really needs to choose his films with more thought.

The film is brilliantly photographed (Hiroo Keswani), capturing the gorgeous Afghan landscapes with as much confidence as the odd gritty sequence of explosion. Editing (Dilip Deo) could have revealed tighter precision in a film that never really overcomes its sloppy pace. By the time it all ends, you are too bored to care if Dutt as Nasser manages to succeed in his mission.

The makers seemed to have missed an opportunity at hand here as cricket overrides the aspect of children being turned into suicide bombers. The screenplay also fails to bring that to life but instead dumbs it down for the audience with written text in the beginning of the film.
